FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straightforward answers about concrete, interlock, pools, and waterproofing in the GTA.

How much does a concrete driveway cost in the GTA?
+
Pricing depends on size, access, demolition, excavation, base preparation, reinforcement, drainage, finish, materials, and site conditions. We give a fixed written quote after visiting the site so the number reflects your actual project — not a generic per-square-foot figure.
What is the difference between brushed concrete, stamped concrete, and exposed aggregate?
+
Brushed concrete has a soft, textured finish from a broom drawn across fresh concrete. Stamped concrete is imprinted with patterns while curing to imitate stone, brick, or slate. Exposed aggregate reveals the small stones in the mix by washing away the top layer of cement paste for a durable, textured look.
Do you remove and dispose of old concrete?
+
Yes. Removal and disposal of existing concrete or interlock is part of most replacement projects and is included in the written quote.
Do you accept small concrete repair projects?
+
Yes. No project is too small. A crack, a set of steps, a hot tub pad — we'll quote it.
How long does new concrete need to cure?
+
Foot traffic is usually possible after 24–48 hours. Vehicles should typically wait at least 7 days. Concrete continues to gain strength for weeks after the pour — full details are provided in your project handoff.
Do you install concrete pads for hot tubs and sheds?
+
Yes. Hot tub pads, shed pads, and equipment pads are common projects for us.
Do you repair sunken interlock?
+
Yes. We reset and relevel sunken pavers, replace joint sand, and address the base problem that caused the settling.
Do you provide basement waterproofing?
+
Yes — interior, exterior, and foundation crack repair. Recommendations are based on inspecting the property and identifying the actual source of the water.
Do you build and renovate pool decks?
+
Yes. Concrete and interlock pool decks, coping, waterproofing, and drainage improvements around pools.
Are you insured?
+
Yes, Smart Concrete & Interlock Solutions is fully insured. Insurance information is available on request.
What does the two-year workmanship warranty cover?
+
The warranty covers workmanship on completed work, subject to the written agreement, project scope, maintenance requirements, site conditions, and warranty exclusions. Full terms are provided with your project documentation.
